Beloved past roles include Kate Keller in The Miracle Worker, Miss Prism in The Importance of Being Earnest, and Yellow Rose/Sparrow in the Independent Wilde Tales Retold--- of which Leanette received nominations like “Outstanding Comedic Performance/Actress in a Supporting Role” and a Win from The Grand Awards, and "Excellence in Theater" from The Gala Awards.

She has a diverse history of 20+ stage performances, commercial credits, and a rich range of Shorts, featured, and Indie film roles - including Lord Justice: Tales of a Fallen Superhero which garnered critical acclaim at several film festival circuits, earning Leanette a “Short Film Best Supporting Actress” award for her portrayal of the supporting Nurse, at The Lakeshore Film Festival, Waterfront Film Festival, and Ann Arbor Film Festivals respectively.

Historically, she co-founded/served as Exec. Dir/Producer for the Grand Rapids-based Five & Dime Productions Independent series, 'You've Got to Be Kidding Me, America!' featuring original content by local writers, including Leanette herself. Gaining traction over time with local Media circuits to earn multiple stature awards for Independent productions, and 3 wins.

She's duly worn many hats in her career journey including: casting producer, acting coach, content creator, director, educator, exec director, model, marketing manager, screen/playwright. Her training specialized in the areas of Voiceover and Methods, where she studied with Spectrum-Actors Theater, Fubble Entertainment, and Master Arts Company USA, respectively. Alongside an extensive background in dance, the most favored styles being ballroom and pointe.
